Stoneware Plates for December

I feel the happiest and and most content when my hands are dirty with clay and paint (or cuts from excessive carving? no, thanks! haha). Last Thursday, I was happy to find out that only 1 of the 16 stoneware plates I made a couple of weeks ago didn't make it. The casualty, however, was also glazed and prepared for the second firing. Nothing gets left behind :)

They looked edible when the glaze dried - pastel-colored and powdery (doughnut, anyone?). I wonder how they'd look like next week. Let's hope all of them survive the second firing.
