All About Plants

For those who have been asking, I buy plants in QC Circle - where most of the plant shops from the Manila Seedling Bank have transferred - or at the Centris Sunday Market. Both groups of plant sellers have different cacti types, herbs, fruit-bearing trees, and gardening necessities like pots, potting soil, gloves, fertilizer, etc. Sometimes, they also have green events just like the Bonsai fair early this month.

Here are some photos of the plants Paul and I bought weeks ago. I didn't know it was his first time to buy plants until we got home. I couldn't believe it! I thought it was funny too. :)

He bought lavender and citronella to shoo away mosquitoes. But the plants were way too high maintenance - that or we just didn't know how to garden - thus, didn't survive summer.

It was also a friend's birthday that night. As a gift, we gave her an indoor plant. The wooden gift tag I used was from Hey Kessy. It was so easy to write on using markers and paint.

Small Space Gardening

We bought two afro plants. They've grown so quickly and easily! They're not high maintenance. My friend Femi told advised me to trim them and plant the trimmings. They'll be more "fluffy" when the vines are aren't too long.

I also got an air plant with flower. It's a survivor! :p I used my glass planter to hang it outside, in our pocket garden.

The view of the studio from the garden. :) Oh by the way, we are renting it so if you have workshops or events for 3 hours or so, you may want to hold it here. For more details, go HERE. :)

  1. I used to buy in Manila Seedling bank. It's so sad the sellers had to leave. I buy my plants in malls now. I don't know if I'm just malas but most of the plants I see in QC circle look unhealthy :o

Your studio is so cozy Mansy :) Keep it up!
