DIY 5 Papercut

This papercut is one of my personal favorites. I can't remember how many days it took me to finish it, but what I could remember is that it took me hours to take a clear photo of it when it was already framed in double glass.

Brass Jewelry

I only made 20 sets of my brass rings for last month's fairs. Each jewelry piece was special as it was cut, polished, and engraved by hand. Most of them have my signature floral design. :)

Thanks to everyone who bought from me at Art in the Park and the 10a Alabama Fair. Everything was sold!

Let's make Sunprints!

I know the sun could be a little too harsh at times but instead of just staying indoors the other day, I sunprinted on postcards and totes! :)

Here's the first postcard I sunprinted on. I used one of my papercuts.

Sunprinting

For this set, I used flowers, papercuts, and a leaf:

Anything that casts a shadow can be used. It also works well on fabric so I designed this tote:

I'm going to hold a Sunprinting Workshop on April 27, 10am-1pm, in Katipunan, Quezon City. More details HERE on Hey Kessy's blog.

Slots are limited because we're going to have it at my mini studio. :) Register HERE

Angono

I forgot when exactly we took this trip to Angono. Maybe it was in 2011 when I had a full time job and a part-time student life. I was so excited since it was my first free day in months (!!) and back then, I read so much about the town and its famous Balaw-balaw restaurant. I was disappointed as they didn't have almost everything we wanted to order except for the Bougainvillea salad and itik sa gata dish. The other art houses we wanted to visit were either closed for the day or didn't have an available tour guide and so couldn't accommodate visitors.

Made in Paper Contribution

Hi :)

If ever you find yourself in the UK this summer, grab a copy of Made in Paper! I'm one of the crafters who contributed a project for their Summer issue. It should also be available in the US come May.

And yes, I used Hey Kessy washi tapes to make the pendants. :) Super happy for Kessy ♡

Meryenda

When friends come over to the studio, this is what I serve them:

Stoneware Plate

This is easy to make! You just need Speculoos and frozen berries! And yes, I made the stoneware plate. You can see my other plates here. :)

Two of my recent visitors are my friends, Des and Trixie. They just got back from their Sri Lanka trip. For pasalubong, I got tea, a mug, and a little eli keychain. Seeing their photos on FB makes me want to leave again! Des also lent me Alain de Botton's "The Architecture of Happiness", and gave me "Le Petit Prince". :)

New Collection: Handmade Hors D'oeuvres Plates

I enjoyed making and glazing these plates. Some of them are hand-stamped using the stamps I carved, others were given patterns using a lace. These bespoke pieces are food-safe, perfect for picnics and small gatherings.

I personally love using them to serve food to my family and friends who visit me at the studio. Using them as jewelry dishes is also a good idea. :)

PS I'll be selling these 7 plates at the 10a Alabama Fair this coming weekend. :)
