Banaue Rice Terraces + Arm Knitting

I promised myself I'd enjoy weekends more often, so I spent the last long weekend in Banaue with my mommy, siblings Germee and Gomer, and Gianandrea, my sister's visiting friend from Italy. I've always loved the mountains so although most of the days were spent on the road, I still enjoyed the 4-day trip because of the view, nippy weather, and funny stories we all shared. It has been a while since the last time I went to a multi-day out-of-town thing with mom and I got to do again what I loved doing in college, mountain climbing. I couldn't be happier. :)

Banaue Trip

This was taken in Batad. The guide told us it was one of the grandest in Ifugao. I could stay there just admiring the terraces pattern all day! Ang galing!

After the whole-day trek with all the happy memories (and blisters haha!), it was a such a relief coming back to our cozy room at Banaue and Youth Hostel.

While resting and enjoying the cold mountain weather, I arm knitted myself a cowl using the bulky Chenille yarn from Gantsilyo Guru. I also made a simple video of the process. :)

PS If you are planning to go to Banaue, I recommend staying at Banaue and Youth Hostel. The rooms are big, clean, and have a great view. The service was also commendable.
