Papercutting by the Sea

And before we know it, Manila's temperature is suddenly several degrees higher. Summer is here, and so are swimsuits, of different colors and patterns, photos which flood my online feed. I'm not complaining because they remind me of my short but fun beach trip to La Union with my friend Kenwyn.

I spent the early afternoon of our first day taking a nap at our hostel's common area facing the ocean, drawing mini swimsuits, and trying out the tanning lotion and sea salt hair spray I made the day before. There are several tables outside our room, and I was able to bring my portable cutting mat and clipboard so I managed to papercut.

Another papercutting-related project I recently made are these temporary tattoos! I scanned one of my favorite papercuts and printed the design on the DIY temporary sheets from Mad Tatter, and gave them out at a craft fair and at the shop last weekend. :)

DIY Temporary Tattoos

I can't take my mind off the idea of taking the midnight bus to the north to enjoy the beach breeze or the mountain weather. But for now, I'll settle listening to the Secret Life of Walter Mitty soundtrack. It celebrates the moment before you actually go onto an adventure, the moment you actually realize you need one so bad, which is equally as special and meaningful as being in an adventure. :)
