My recent trip to the beach with Tippy and Abbey has left me dreamy for days now. I can't help but think about reading, eating pizza, drinking ice cold cranberry juice, and having honest conversations about life, art, and crafting with good friends.
I especially loved the moment when we sat at the farthest end of the hostel, facing the beach, at around 5 or 5:30 in the afternoon; the sky was of light blue-grayish shade; the ocean breeze was just right. And I sat there, calm, in awe of how peaceful, that space was in that moment. None of us even took photos. We just stayed doing nothing but consciously feeling that we were in a happy place and moment. Manila and everything with it, the good and the bad, seemed so far away. I knew the moment would end soon, so I take as much as I could from it by just sitting still, transfixed.
If we go back to the 90s, this is definitely a Chicken Soup for the Soul moment I'd go back to every time I'd need good vibes.
I wish I were a better a writer so I could describe that brief happy moment better, but here are some photos that might help. :)

Before we headed home, we had ice cold dirty white at El Union, a happy place for coffee and grilled cheese lovers. We also chanced upon a wall of Bougainvillea, and yet, we pulled up, and had a short photo op!
My friend Monica, who loves the beach, always say that people are always happier when at the beach. And I couldn't agree more.
